Hi Morag, I've been following your blog for a while now and am really enjoying your work.

I'm not usually into commenting but thought I would respond to this; I've found this plant to be very tenacious in my gardens (wet highland tropics on the southeastern Atherton Tablelands in far north QLD) and I haven't wanted to let it get established because

A, none of our animals are keen on it (I like to grow things that feed as many mouths as possible),

B, I haven't found it all that appealing to eat (clearly lacking imagination there!) and I didn't know what you just taught me about its nutritional value,

and C, it's very hard to get rid of, it keeps popping up everywhere (I know: a useful attribute in a plant you want...)

So after reading your post I'm going to find a spot for it where I'm happy to let it get going, and experiment with it a bit more.

Many thanks again for your work and please keep it up!
Kate

A, none of our animals are keen on it (I like to grow things that feed as many mouths as possible),

B, I haven't found it all that appealing to eat (clearly lacking imagination there!) and I didn't know what you just taught me about its nutritional value,

and C, it's very hard to get rid of, it keeps popping up everywhere (I know: a useful attribute in a plant you want…)

So after reading your post I'm going to find a spot for it where I'm happy to let it get going, and experiment with it a bit more.

Many thanks again for your work and please keep it up!
Kate
