We love our local show too, Morag. I love to wander around the pavilion and look at all the baking, flowers, fruits and veg and crafts that local folk enter. It's wonderful to sit under warm blankets in the early evening, near the big bonfire, listening to the bush band playing, and feeling part of a community. A special event we look forward to and save for all year:)

Good morning Morag, the painting and photos are wonderful, the kids have a great artistic eye. Good luck with the entries, it is so much fun for everyone. We grew up in Gympie and mum and nan would always enter a cake and a floral display in the show. Mum would dress my sister and I up in matching outfits that she had made herself. I remember it fondly.

I have developed a keen (obsessive) interest in making preserves out of any surplus harvests and I'm playing with the idea of entering something for the EKKA in August. You have inspired me to send for the brochure for the guidelines.
